STRIPER is MY ultimate fishing machine. And if you think pedals are "girly" maybe you should try fishing in a little wind and waves with me.
Would love to, but I don't consider trolling fishing.

Call it what you want but I just did 7 miles one way (and back) this evening and I'm not even tired. And when I got it some shallow grass flats I just pulled the drive and my Adventure was still faster than most yaks. Love my Hobie!

I had an outback and quickly sold it. I had the regular fins and it was really hard to keep up with my buddy in his tarpon 16. I was peddling my butt off and going slow. I also dont like the position you have to be in to peddle. Its uncomfortable for me. And I like to get out of my kayak and swim to cool off. The outback was really hard to get back into in deep water. I couldn't imagine trying to get back into a PA. The last thing is I love to run rivers and the mirage drive cant be used in shallow water without damaging it. Im sure hobies are great for some people but not for me.

If I decide to start running rivers I will get another yak (in addition to) the PA. For lake fishing though, I can't imagine giving up the pedals

Getting back in a PA is easy. I made a loop for my foot so I could stand slightly and get right in.

How's this knucklehead gonna talk smack about Hobies, but yet wants one??? Sounds like a woman talking Material advancements are expected with technology improvements. Changing propulsion methods makes it something else. It's not even driven by your arms.... Hmm, technological improvements are only acceptable when it pertains to the vessel, but not its propulsion method??? That's logical thinking right there & also sounds like a woman For those so called "die hard" paddlers, until you go harpooning for seals & whales in an Eskimo canoe with a skin cover on a light framework, made watertight by flexible closure around the waist (SINK), you're not as manly as you think you are. Save some money here & there & eventually you can afford to buy a Hobie, but until then just keep on dreaming
