1st Annul Barn Fellowship Fishing Tournament Official Rules
$1000 Guarantee 1st Place June 8th, 2013

1. These rules shall apply to all entrants of the Barn Fellowship tournament. It is the contestant�s responsibility to read, understand and obey all rules of the tournament. Violation of any of these rules can result in disqualification from the current event and at tournament director�s decision.
2. All State, Federal, and Local laws must be obeyed.
3. Any protest must be received in writing with TX numbers and signed within 15 minutes of final check-in deadline to be considered. Tournament director�s decisions will be final in all matters.
4. All contestants are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship and courtesy at the Barn Fellowship event. Alcohol and narcotics will not be allowed in the possession of contestants whether on their person or in their boat during tournament hours, unless prescription medicine as prescribed for tournament entrant.
5. A U.S. Coast Guard approved chest type PFD must be on and fastened anytime the combustion engine is in gear. All boats must meet U.S. Coast Guard standards. Outboard motors must not exceed boat manufactures ratings. Jet drive and air boats are not allowed. All boats must have an emergency kill-switch and driver must be attached to kill switch anytime the combustion engine is in gear.
6. There is no off limits period, you can not leave the ramp until 5:30 AM and FIRST CAST WILL NOT be until 6 AM.
7. Failure to get your boat checked the morning of will result in disqualification.
8. Upon entering this tournament, contestants release Barn Fellowship officials, host marina and sponsors from liability of accidents, losses, or thefts.
9. All teams must be checked in by designated weigh-in time. Each team will be issued a chip with their team number and must have that chip placed in a bucket at the weigh-in site by 2:15PM and weigh-in line will close at 2:30, no fishing after chip is turned in. There will be a .50 lb penalty for each dead fish weighed (dead fish may not be culled-state law.) Scales will be open at 1:30pm. We recommend the use of live well additives made by Sure-Life to increase the odds of healthy fish being returned to the lakes. There will be a 2lb penalty for fish not meeting the predetermined size requirements that is brought to the scale plus the loss of same fish. (Lake Athens Bass all species cannot touch the 14-inch mark and must touch the 21-inch mark to be legal.) No iced or frozen fish will be weighed.
10. Team Tournament allows no more than 2 persons per boat. All persons in boat must be registered contestants. THERE CAN BE ONE CHILD 13 YEARS OF AGE OR YOUNGER. To make a 3 man team 2 adults and one child the child�s biggest fish (under 14in or over 21) will be weighted for a prize, this fish DOES NOT COUNT for the 5 fish stringer weight, this is for a prize only please mark your kids fish with a Cull maker of some kind cull makers will be given if needed. 1 KID under 13 FISH FREE!!
11. No Fishing within 25 yards of another contestant�s boat without mutual consent.
12. All fishing must be done with artificial lures only. Pork is permitted. Contestants may use only one rod and reel at a time. No trolling with combustion engine is allowed. All fish must be caught in a legal and sporting manner during tournament hours from tournament waters. Contestants may not leave the boat to land a bass. Underwater cameras or tracking devices may not be used during tournament hours. Hole sitting by or for contestants is not allowed.
13. Boats must have a live well and operating aeration system. Teams may keep no more than 5 bass total in the boat/live well at any time during the tournament hours. This does not include fish temporarily on board for culling purposes. No more than 5 bass total in the boat/live well at any time during tournament hours unless you have a Jr. Angler on board who is allowed to retain 1 bass thus making their total bass kept at 6 bass, only if the Jr. Angler has boated a keeper bass.
14. Scoring will be determined by the total weight of not more than 5 bass per team meeting designated size requirements. Fish will be measured on a Check it Stick measuring board with tail pinched closed. Each team may have only 1 BB entry; angler-weighing fish has to declare which fish is to be weighed. Combining two cash awards and splitting the total between tied anglers will settle ties for cash prizes.
15.Tournment entry is 100 dollars per boat with optional 10 dollar big bass. Payback will be guaranteed 1,000 DOLLARS for 1st place with a 80% 1 in 5 payback. Big bass pay will be winner take all.
16. No checks will be accepted after May 18, 2013 please make checks payable to Barn Fellowship Church mailed to P.O. BOX 844 Canton, TX 75103. Early entry will receive 5 tickets for a shotgun drawing that will done after the final weigh in on June 8th. CASH ONLY WILL BE ACCEPETED AT WEIGH IN SIGHT MORNING OF THE TOURNAMENT. Wish it was a week later in June. The JC Outdoors Championship is the same date on Tyler. I would have liked to fish this tournament.

I didn't know jc was that day. Only tournament I knew of was skeeter owners and the church didnt really want to push it back any further. Thanks for the interest though.

If I'm off work that weekend I'll be there.

Skeeters owner tournament is same weekend

Yeah but that was about the only weekend that there's not another tournament on Athens and the good thing about skeeter owners is we will only loose skeeter boat owners. I still think we are going to have a good turn out.
