Sorry guy have not looked here in a little bit. Had a lot going on.


The crappie are slow. But I saw some really nice ones. Saw 2 1.98's in one day. The board is 1.55 right now. The channal cats are in pretty good. Have got some nice ones. Carp and buff doing good bunch of small ones. Bass are fare. One day you will kill them the next day 3 or 4.

As far as the remodel. Boss said the kitchen will be open by the end of the month.

Lets hope it's happens.

Ya. They have been getting little crappie out there. But the thing that bee doing really well is the cats. Been seeing a lot of nice stringers of eater channels and blues go out. Lot of 3-5lbs. Only got a pic of one.

And as of today the kitchen is open for Business!!!!

Doing small stuff like corn dogs and hamburgers.

anything biting lately?

The small crappie have been in. My buddy left with 5 keepers last night got about 20 fish in all. Shallow line 1'. Or just off the bottom.

Went to the barge last night. Didn't stay too long maybe 3 hours. No bites except a few small bream. I saw one guy leaving with a real nice cat. That was it. Everyone else didn't have much luck.

I think its going to be at least a month before the crappie is going to be in just thinking. Id go for them catfish at this time of the year.

Sup everyone - I just moved to Texas, living in North Dallas. Super excited to be here, people have been amazing.

How's it been up at the barge? Thinking about going over there this evening or tomorrow (Veterans day) since my wife is out of town... Right now I'm into the Channel Cat to fry up, but I am just looking forward to getting back on the water.

On a side note - I am still waiting on my fishing kayak to ship in from Virginia - is Lewisville Lake a decent place to take a kayak out? I've heard it both ways so I figured I'd ask some of y'all.

Here is what is going on. TON OF LITTLE CRAPPIE!!!!

3 nights a ago we had a 10 fish stinger of 1lbs+ crappie then the last 2 nights dead.

2 nights ago tryed for carp got 3 and 9 channel cats. Then one other guy did just as well in the AM.

Got mine off cinnamon dough bait. The other guy got his off Bill's bait.

Crappie are doing good off jigs blk gum, blk chartreuse, Green thunder, red thunder.

Shallow on the crappie less then 10' at night casting to the bank and doing a slow retrieve. Cats 20'+

I work tonight if you what to come by and me to help you out.

Hello! I am a beginner at fishing for crappie but interested in learning. Plus I would like to have some for dinner. I have never visted the barge either and would like to try it out. I am thinking about giving it a try tonight, is there a any certain time you would recommend arriving. Any recommendation on jig sizes? Taking my daughter to Bass Pro to see Santa and going to pick up somethings. Thanks for any help in advance and hope to meet you tonight.

I plan to swing by probably by around 6ish, possibly a little later. Back in VA I tended to have a lot of luck going after Cats with just a decent Jig head and a Nightcrawler on my Bass spinning rod.

We will see how it goes. I got my license and am all set, so hopefully I'll make it out there.
