This sure makes you appreciate the fellow bass fishermen at 5:30am. I had no idea it takes sooooo long to launch a jet ski!

I posted it for humor dude. It's coming a storm here and I'm sitting in my truck at the ramp watching people.

Does it suck to be old and grumpy and stuck at home?

I went out by myself today, when I came back to load the boat I tied up to dock, nobody else, there went and got truck and trailer, by time I got back somebody had also pulled up to dock took both sides and was still running into my boat, I jumped into my boat got it out of way, big mistake, now I had to wait until they went and got their truck and tried to back in, about fell out of boat laughing so hard, probably could sell tickets. Oh well its a holiday weekend.

Rec boaters are completely different people than fisherman. Most fisherman have all of their stuff stored in there boat already or they stop in the proper area to put things in. Too many rec boaters take 15 tries to put the boat in the water, then think they are supposed to load up the passengers and all of their carry-ons at the ramp. It's bad enough on a regular weekends; it's 100 times as bad on holiday weekends.

Why is backing a trailer down a ramp so damn hard for people? It really isn't difficult if you have 2 ounces of sense. Maybe I'm biased, I grew up in the country and pulled more than one trailer when I was a kid. But still, even driving a tractor when I was 12 I don't remember having any trouble backing up a trailer.

I don't know why its so hard I taught my wife our first trip out and she does fine. Some of these people just make you laugh while they jack knife their trailers five or six times!

The short storm at Rayburn today served as a comedy act. We had already loaded our boat, and we just parked where we could oversee the ramp. I never knew so many husbands cussed their wives in public. LOL

I love seeing guys trying to back those short jet ski trailers in real fast, and jack knifing them. Then they get it in the water, realize the straps are still on, then, "oh shoot, I left my life jacket in the back seat". Always something, I guess if i only did it 3 or 4 times a year, i'd be terrible at it too!

I saw the Ray Roberts (cooke county) game warden have the boat and trailer come unhitched from the truck while on the ramp. I know they don't get out much so must not known how to latch the trailer.
