I use cast net there all the time. Just use it on the back and away from people then you will be ok. what is considered the back there? I went out last night from 8:45 to 1:30 and set outside by far north light. I used minnows at a depth of 4 to 10 feet. Caught 12 crappie. Other people were casting jigs and were catching more ofter than I was. None were keeper size. I might go back out again tonight. jigs under a float or cast and retrieving them

I went out from 1030PM to 3AM yesterday Caught 9 Crappie 7 keepers anywhere from 6'5'' to 14' deep all on black shad slab bandits which can be purchased there!

I use cast net there all the time. Just use it on the back and away from people then you will be ok. what is considered the back there? Back of the crappies house. Some of them "worker" lets people using cast net on the back of the house but not in the front, any where that facing the parking lot.

Cast nets are a hard call. I let ppl use then if they are Respectful of ppl around them. But boss man says no cast net so most of the ppl who work there say no.
Duly noted, I will go net down by the boat ramp if there are many people at all. Will be going down there this afternoon with a coworker I believe. Gimme a holler, skinny guy with a blue longsleeve fishin shirt.

It's been really slow. The fish are scattered from sallow to deep. Saw some nice sand bass this morning.
The carp and buff are in!!!! And the cannel cats are really thick too!!

They are still remodeling and most of the building materials are pushed off to the side when they aren't working on it. The crappie bite has been slow. A couple of nights ago I saw a man with 5-6 crappie that were around 1.5-2lbs that he caught fishing the north east point of the barge. Last week the sand bass were schooling around the point. I saw a guy yank 5 of them (though they were under the size limit). Channel catfish are definitely active and feeding.
