Put this brush pile out this weekend. the screen shot is about 2 hours after i dropped the pile. How long do you think it will take to attract crappie?

great location in that ditch. !!
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Found this rocky ledge last week but couldn't fish it because my trolling motor went on the blink, but went back to it this past Sunday and pulled 20 keepers off it along with many dinks, some catfish, and a couple bass. This is a pic from my HB 798, Side scanning 50' out.

First time out with my Elite 7 HDI. The Down Scan seems a bit noisy but I haven't messed with any settings to see if I can fix that. Toledo Bend / Hwy 87 bridge at Six Mile Crappie hanging out above the cross beam. Sonar / Down Scan Compared Same bridge, different side.

I didn't overlay it this time. To be honest, once i got on the water and started seeing fish, I totally forgot about it. I'm going to try it next time.

IMO you will be surprised how much detail you can see on the bottom...it lets you see where on the structure the fish are holding...usually on the down current side of the peak of the pile...

Nice! Do you have a suggested % of overlay? If it works that well I don't think I would have to split the screen and watch both separately.

I usually use 70/75% overlay with somewhere in the neighborhood of the same for contrast...you just have to play with it and adjust according to conditions...adjust your "surface clarity and noise rejection to get a clearer image...
