With the lake level as low as it is and the ramp situation being only one slot, we have decided to allow trailering at this event to keep some of the congestion down. It will probably make some unhappy but, I have to make decisions on what I think is the best for the entire field. 1st cast for the first flight is gonna be somewhere around 6:15 saturday morning so leave early if you are driving down the day of the tournament. I will be at the ramp friday evening from 5 till 7 for early entries. Good luck to all

It's pretty much the only ramp open anyway so congestion will be the same for the most part.

Based on the people that I have talked to on the ground there, it should NOT effect anything this weekend. The fire is near the end of the peninsula, or sandy beach area. The top of Burma mountain is where it has not been contained yet, but should be easy to contain. Only risk would be a strong west wind.
This is just what I have been told.

As of now, the fires are not going to affect the tournament. I am trying to get more info on it and as I do, I will let you guys know

I think it needs to be a lake that is not fished during the regular season schedule...make it interesting OR we can go to eagle!

I just went back and read some earlier posts on this thread where it is stated that "Championship Lake and Dates have been set - Hubbard Creek..." I completely understand that any tournament may need to be moved/rescheduled due to water levels, etc. - but at this point that doesn't seem to be the case to me. I believe that this trail has been well ran this year (for the first year of a new full trail) and I have enjoyed the tournaments we have fished so far. I would appreciate some clarification on this Championship change.
