These are 2 techniques that I never do. I watch all the BASS tournaments on TV and constantly see someone with a spinning rod in their hands fishing a shaky head. I know I am missing out! I hate spinning tackle too by the way!

My fishing partner fishes a shaky head all the time but uses a bait caster and seems to be doing pretty well!

I went and bought all the equipment and have yet to try it..Seems to work well but I have a problem trying something new when what is old to me is working great.

I will occasionally fish them but for the most part I would rather not.
Also at least through my own experience you can occasionally catch a big fish on those techniques but you will not consistently catch bigger fish on them. Great limit getters and great tools for those fishing for points as well.

Never a drop shot, but I do fish a heavy shakey head.

I have probably bought 5 spinning rigs over the years and sold them all. Bought another last week and am already thinking of returning it without having tried it. I feel like I should but I know the first time I throw it the line is going to jump off!!

Its a pain to make an egg beater rod fit in the box with 10 bait casters. It just doesn't lay in there like the others.

The fewer people who fish those techniques the better the fish will bite my bait when I do. I encourage everyone to ignore those techniques!! I also use bait casting for both.

I finally learned how to cast weightless and light shaky heads on a baitcaster this weekend, so my spinning gear will be dropshot only from here on out. I hate trying to get down on a fish and set the hook with a spinning rig.
