Don't mean to sound ignorant but what are y'all calling slip?? Is that just where the prop is to far out of the water?? Never had to deal with an issue like this...

The boat is definitely blowing out when it's getting to plane... And I have noticed the motor is not getting the water psi at 60 that it gets at 50.. Is this due to slip? I don't really know what slip is so sorry if this sounds dumb..

The simplist explanation.... Your prop is a 25 pitch. That means for each revolution of the prop, the prop should move forward 25". With a 20% slip, the would not move forward the full 25", but 20% less. Or 25" x 20% = 5". The prop would move forward 25" - 5" = 20" forward. Now of course it is never that easy. There are many factors that affect the prop slip. You may have a good prop and a bad setup, or a bad prop in a good setup. My boat when I bought it had both. You should talk to Steve @ Steve's Prop. He can give you better solutions beyond my ideas of what might be wrong. I bought my current prop from him and now my boat =

They will need to know this before they can help. If you do not know what this is or how to measure it, check it out on Steve's prop web page. You may want to upgrade your screen name.

Would be fun to see that boat make a pass-never been in a Gambler. I can only get about 80.5 out of my Cat at best. I need to learn how to drive it. I'm hearing 82+ from others.
