I have a "rally monkey" that fishes with me. Not really superstitious about it, but he's been in the boat since I got it--riding on the console.

Always wear the same boxers, same shorts, same hat (all of this assuming I have been doing well), and no sweet luvins the day before the tournament. Got me a 2nd and a 1st in April so I'm sticking with it...

never fill livewells before first fish, and there has to be some action the night before the tournament to help relieve stress. i wish i fished more tournaments  Lol!

Back when I fished tourneys, we always ate fried catfish the night before the tournament.

We don't fill our livewells until we have one to go in it. First cast is a bonus.

I don't believe in all of the superstitions, but I do seem to do better when I make a wrong turn on the way to a tournament. I usually leave with plenty of time to get a little lost. I made this comment to my Dad when he missed the turn on the way to the ramp this weekend and we ended up winning a partner tourney. The funny thing is his lake house is a 1/4 mile from the ramp 
you know, nothing wrong with seven men who met on the internet going for a swim together

My partner is a stickler on not filling any live wells, most of the time I just salute a little red bull or dew pop over the bow and call it good.

Dang I fill my livewells when I get to my first spot and put the please release me and pumps on before I cast a line so they are ready to go. Now wonder I never place
