You may want to be careful running into Alley Creek. As you approach the cove from the main lake, the left main lake point comes way out into the mounth of the cove. I believe there are some bouys marking it as a shallow area. It is best to enter on the far right side but then turn left to avoid a rock pile that is maked by a bouy (a couple of these rocks are out of the water so you should see the area easily).

ABSOLUTELY!!!.. I came flying in there back last summer when the levels were even lower than now and heard my alarm go off right as I felt my boat dragging bottom of a sand bar that stretches over half way across the mouth of Alley!!. Got a couple of nice little nicks/dings in my prop!! Talk about pucker factor!

LoL there is some dangerous unknown stuff out there but I thought it was common knowledge there is a long under water point coming off te alley recreation area. It's only marked by about 3 bouys.

LOL...no A-Rigs, but they will allow live bait? I've heard it all now. I now have another reason not to fish KYKX. wink

No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life. Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs.

The weekend it happened to me, several other boats were at Alley boat ramp assessing damage... One of the camp hosts said several of the bouys had been removed for some reason... A couple weeks later, we camped at Alley and the bouys had returned...
Now that I know where it is, I make sure to steer clear of it... Thinking of running north of locks mountain this weekend...
