I know at 20 i'm much younger than most of ya'll, and i've only been bass fishing seriously for about 10 years... but this has to be the weirdest spring i've ever seen as far as weather goes. I think this is the 4th or 5th weekend in a row with a cold front coming in at the end of the week. Has to be the longest spawn i've ever seen too, I was catching bedfish here since January.... Even got on the best frog bite i've ever been on at the begining of february..... and I know the majority of those fish were post spawn.

Thought i'd share. Good luck to everyone fishing this weekend. I'm going to get some term projects done and wait this weather out. cheers

I live in the panhandle and it has been weird for sure. 94 here two days ago and snowed lastnight. Hard freeze warning in efrect tonite with possible snow and the a hi of 64 tomorrow. Wind has been really bad even for the panhandle. In my four years up here this has been the most extremes I have seen. The good news is all the old timers say that every drought they have experienced was ended with a blizzard and we had one about a month ago.

Very unusual year. Peach trees bloomed in warm spell in Jan. then frost killed them, no peaches this year. Last night built a fire in fireplace and it's May! Fronts have always been approx. 1 week apart in winter but not normally this many that just keep coming.

+1. The middle of every week for over two months.

Yeah, this one is bizzare for sure. Like many I only get to fish on the weekend and this weather has really put a damper on getting on the fish. I feel like by the time it evens out it will be 108 and to hot.

I've fished two tournaments a month since January. So far I've had to wear long underwear to every one of them. Two weeks ago on Sandlin and Cypress (club tournament) it was 38 degrees each morning.

Tomorrow morning will not be the exception. Long johns, gloves, BPS Pro Qualifier suit...

This is crazy for May.
