forget the past...today I caught a 4.35 lb freshwater drum on a crank bait at Lake Fork..
Filet and skinned and broiled.. it has flaky white meat that is nearly tastless.
the lake record is 22 something. I caught another on Friday on the same crankbait including a 22" male black bass.

Caught a duck, the duck ran into my line, it felt like a hell of a big bite lol. Duck went flipping into the water and swam off real slow like it was in a daze. bunch of fishing poles, lawn chair.

Well I grew up on Lake Belton, Which has tons of old buildings in the lake. Needless to say I've caught a .22 rifle, a 3 foot metal shelf, a football trophy, extension cord, raccoon hat, and an old hatchet.

My two best have to be a shopping cart on Town Lake in Austin and a 10-12 foot board. The board had one end cut at an angle and a slit cut about 3/4 the way through or so near the middle. My bait was hung in the slit. I think the board was suspended or just one end was on the bottom. The board pulsated back and forth and the angled end made it "swim" to the side. My partner and I thought I had hung the lake record. It would swim to the side, I could feel the tail thump, and it would take drag some times while circling the boat. I felt really stupid after about 10 minutes when I learned it was a board.

Caught a guy last night wiping his butt after just taking a duece in the woods. I guess he didn't go far enough back from view.

I caught a clam on the bead of a Carolina rig.
Several old rod and reel combos.
Few snakes.
Even drug up an old trolling motor once.
