You can talk through it.

I have had the same one for three years now. Greatness at it's best.

If you drop your iPhone with a life proof case, will it float back up? Nope.

You can push buttons and use window through plastic.

I have the same case Tarponfly mentioned. Got it by the kayak stuff at Academy. I always keep my phone with me and on silent. Last thing I want is to get snake bit or brake a leg or something while I'm out and have no way of getting help.
