Rules are rules, that's why they are written and published. If he didn't want an observer then he doesn't need to sign up
Doesn't sound in any way like being hasseled And the fact that he may be black or a veteran doesn't have anything to do with it

I dont know the guy in Question and have no dog in this hunt. It is his perogative to fish alone , if he chooses to withdraw because he doesnt want an observer thats his choice, his and his alone. Until then and only then if he fails a polygraph or he is seen or caught breaking a rule, it will be Bass Champs that make the decision to either DQ him or not.
Dont judge the guy because he chooses not to fish with an observer, that is HIS Choice to do so

I can't remember another African-American who was asked to have an observer. I know there are a number of white guys that Bass Champs has asked to have an observer in the boat. This is not a racial issue and to suggest that is ridiculous.
Both sides have been expressed. Bass Champs followed their rules and the angler in question has a right to do as he pleases. Further speculation is not something we are going to engage in at this time.
The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach
