First for me would be a chatter bait. I have never even had a hit on one. I just get them hung up.
Second for me would be a wacky rigged trick worm. I have caught fish on them and I do have confidence in throwing any soft plastic but I just do not get many bites on a wacky rigged trick worm. I do better with a weightless fluke or senko, shaky head, and tx. rig way more than a wacky rigged trick worm. I do well with a wacky rigged senko but not the trick worm.

Hard jerkbait. I hate them.
I am stunned at how many mentioned jigs. If I could only have 1 bait it would probably be a jig.

My dad and I always have a crank tied on and I catch fish on them but I don't catch as much as I do with other lures. And also I'm a soft plastics man. Not really a power fisherman.

Carolina-rig. I caught my biggest bass ever on a carolina-rig; 10.33 lbs. I just don't have the patience to keep throwing it. Plus getting it hung up then having to go retrieve it continuously! aaaagghh!
