This has been a long awaited item from Minn Kota....It is available very soon...ETA date of 5/1/2013

MKA-47 Universal Mounting Bracket

Universal Mounting Bracket allows you to easily switch between cable steer and electric steer motors, so you can choose the right trolling motor for the application. Utilizes existing mounting hole patterns. No additional drilling is required. Innovative positioning mechanism allows motor to slide inboard (up to 6") for additional clearance when launching boat. Removable top plate allows motor to be easily removed for storage and security.

Well I must have bought the wrong kind of I Pilot. You got one and got a new Skeeter and Blue tuna Terry bought one and got a new Sea fox. All I got was an old 99 triton Tr 21 --LOL-- rolfmao. But hey it is a solid dependable old thing though thumb

BOOYAH! Drove straight from the airport after I landed yesterday and picked up mine from David @ Shut Up And Fish. Finished the install today (you wouldn't believe how hard 6ga connectors are to find!) and hit the water this evening! Due to the horror stories I read about self deploying, I also fashioned up a security stow strap using a rod saver strap. I spent over an hour on spot lock next to Seafox Steve who was also spot locked and we never moved, even when the wind picked up! Now I dont need a stereo, I can just listen to his! This thing is the bizz nazz snip snap shazam! If you're in the market, call David, I was very impressed by the level of service I got when ordering through him. See yall on the water!

Yep Carson, it is the coolest fishing tool on the market. Good to see you out there, and thanks for asking about my wife. We never moved from that spot for 3 hours. My son and I caught fish constantly. It sure was sad seeing all those other boats having trouble hanging around us. bannana2

I fish by myself.......i'm thinking when I come in, I can go toothe dock and get out of my boat and using the remote I can move the boat out into the lake , hit the spot lock, go back the trailer down the ramp , and use the remote to bring the boat back to the dock, ge back in abd drive the boat up on the trailer. Think this would would work?

How about if someone is anchored and are fishing I can get out of the boat and with no one in the boat I can use the remote to circle their boat. Think that would freak'em out....Aliens

I too made the leap to a new I-Pilot last month and to be honest it is listed in the classifieds right now for sale. I am basically a crappie fisherman and the I-Pilot does not hold tight enough for my needs such as brush piles. However I went sand bass fishing yesterday and it was the "bomb" for this type of fishing. Was great to just fish and not worry about the boat.

Sea Fox Steve was telling me about getting his ipilot calibrated. Apparently there is a process that a minn kota rep can fine tune the ipilot for better spot lock performance.

When dealing with the Minn Kota rep, he said it is very important to have the shaft within 5 degrees of vertical while the boat is sitting level. If not the compass inside will not work properly. You may need to shim your unit.
