Haha Dan, I hear ya'. I actually had to beach my rig at Bachman back in March and wind was only around 20 or so that day. I had the motor on high and was still going backwards and taking on a TON of water. It was above ankle deep, cold, and generally no fun. My tackle bag was literally floating.....

It was the only time to date that I wasn't sure if I would need the floatation device or not. LOL. Ever since then I really don't like to get out in more than 10-15 mph wind.

The other time this year that I fought the wind and lost, Carlos got a new TM. Haha.

I can run the same 300 Bandit crank bait along a drop off and have one bait run on the deep side and one on the top.

I want to see pictures of how people have mounted and stored gear. Where did you mount rod holders? What about your anchor? I am interested in the scotty anchor guide, does it work?

I use a crate like the kayak guys use. Zip tie PVC to the inside corners for rod holders. The crate keeps all my gear in one spot and my deck clear. There's enough room in the crate to stack a tackle box, 6-pack cooler, measuring stick and a few other items. I use clips to attach line cutters, small flashlight, pliers to the outside of the crate for easy access.

I drilled small holes and then used stainless steel screws.

There is no need to seal the holes.

Speaking of sealant, I have a crack in the floor of my buster that has opened up. I also need to re-seal the sides as the seam has chipped away in a few spots and is allowing water to enter the pontoons. Any suggestions on where I could pick up a few tubes of marine grade silicone in North Dallas? I really don't want to drive to Grapevine, Garland, or Lewisville if I can avoid it.

I have seen seams and holes patched using the plastic welding kit from Harbor Freight, and the plastic milk jugs.
Search on yourube - patch hole in kayak

The Plastic welding kit from Harbor Freight works good I use it for fixing plastic parts on motor cycles and If I had a crack in my boat I would use this in a hart beat.
