Thanks for all the advice. I have decided to save my pennies and look for something that is more my size. Thanks again.

I rented a frenzy... way too tippy imo to be a good fishing yak. I prefer something much more stable

Many people use the Frenzy for btb. That is weird that you thought it was tippy. It is pretty wide.

I use to fit in my frenzy when I was 200#s. Now that I am 6'4" and 240#s I can no longer squeeze in. I really only used it for running out shark baits in the surf but I also fished from it sometimes. It's not a bad little yak but it isn't going to glide like a longer boat would.

I'm 5'11" and 210 lbs. the Scrambler was my first kayak and while I could fish from it, it had several drawbacks. The seat is narrow. So much so that you have a sore backside after a half day on the water. It's a wet ride for someone our size. It's shape is designed for surf and rough ocean conditions so on a quiet bay or lake you will get a lot of hull slap that can spook fish. There is not much room for gear and it doesn't take a standard size crate.

I can't imagine trying to fish out of a Frenzy.

Come out to the GTG Saturday and you can paddle a lot of yaks including my Tarpon 140. Something closer to what you need.
