I am going to see about getting a video clip during the demo. This way, you guys can at least get an idea of the kayak in motion.

Hey xxricky33x. Let us know how it does. I went to BP Grapevine Sunday and talked myself out of it for several reasons. I am interested in hearing your feedback. Shoot us some video too, if you can.

I keep talking myself out then into it. What is holding you up, out of curiouosity?
My buddy looked at it and he said he thought he it wasn't rigid enough. I have been in an Old Town Vapor for 2 years. Anything is better than any yak from Old Town.

Guess that yak wasn't seaworthy. He must've sunk to the depths.

Or maybe he just decided to just keep kayaking. I heard he kayaking his way to Florida then up to New York. For no reason at all.

Dean, looking forward to the demo. Would be great if you are able to film/document it. I may/may not be able to make it but could you include this in your demo/documentation:
A low angle water shot to see how high the boat (and you) are riding in the water
Standing on hatches and your impression of how sturdy they are. Likewise, if you could put your full weight single foot on the 2 larger hatches (we know it's going to happen at some time), that would be valuable.
Discuss any additional specs that may become available (weight specifically)
I know you are limited on paddling space but some idea of how easily it gets to speed, turning, etc.
Raise, stand and sit back down several times to show stability.
Show how easy or difficult it is to change seat height while on the water.
Walk forward to show how much the yak is affected as you near the bow.
Sit on the side and hang off feet to show stability.
Turn seat to various positions to show stability while seated other than forward.
Turn seat 180deg and stand on back if possible.
Have a rod with you to show ease of placement/retrieval to and from the rod holders (front and rear) and where you may set a rod forward of you when doing a paddle, cast, paddle, cast situation.
Make some input on what paddle length seems to work best for you and how the change in seat height may affect that.
It may be too cold or you may not care to do a wet entry (ok, I know I'm pushing it on that one - lol)
Drink 3 beers, release the locking mechanism on the seat, give one good push and see how many revolutions you can turn before stopping (we all know this is going to happen eventually).
Seriously, I know this is a lot to ask but these are things I would do as a test......the latter only after purchase.
Thanks for the consideration.

Just laid eyes on one. Very cool looking rig!!!! From an uneducated observer, just to put it in perspective, I think it more closely resembles a boat than a yak. That's not intended to be a knock, just a description.

FishAll50,
I will literally use your requests as my outline for the demo.
I will try my best to cover all inquiries and get some video up.
The wet re-entry will definitely be excluded, although I am sure it would be entertaining. Right off the bat, I can assure you that this kayak is very stable. Re-entry will be very easy and intuitive. Just climb back in it.
Really looking forward to reporting some solid information on this platform.

I'm looking for a report from the demo also, but in reality I think folks may be a little dissapointed with the stability.
Anytime you raise the COG on the boat it is going to feel tippy, and this kayak just isn't any wider than a standard kayak. I'm speaking as someone who has a ride 135 which is longer, and wider than the Ascend and has the tunnel hull, so raising the seat will effect stability.
Just one more cast!
