This last week was the first time I have really spent any time on Grapevine. Ive fished a few Wends. night events out there, but no bigger tournaments.

I must say, I was very impressed with the fish out there.

Is there a tournament Friday or Friday night on the vine? If so, Is it a working man's or ?
Off limits period is? I'm gonna be in town and plan on visiting my past home lakes. (The vine and the Mountain)
There is also a Crawfish boil Sunday at club Chill in Grapevine. Just a FYI this place brings lots of talent to the tables.

Those 2 guys are the most rude fisherman I have ever encountered. The fat one and the one with the white beard. Terrible sportsman! They pulled up on a deepwater spot I was fishing last summer at GV and literally almost threw in my boat.

I have had only one experience with them and it was fine, we passed each other on trolling motor Sunday. Very nice and talked a little. Of course by that point they probably had the winning fish.

on saturday at the weigh in at roberts 2 guys had 30 something with 4 fish! a whopper 11 pounder for big fish followed up by a 8 pounder!

Absolutely "classless" post ! This thread discussed the awesome fishing on Lake Grapevine and the congratulations of two angler's that had a tournament series record limit.

Congratulations for figuring out the pattern and the big win

Wes and Gene are great guys. I have fished against them for the past 4 years in multiple events. Last year while fishing the dam they saw my son and me killing them. They did not run over and start fishing but rather we passed each other as we were working the dam in different directions and they told my son they saw him catch that bigin and it had them worried. That meant allot to him and he still talks about it today. They ultimately won that day and we took second but it was a day for us to remember. I have also had experiences where they have shared information with me to help me become a better fisherman. I don�t consider these acts to be rude in any way. People with 19 posts on the forum and don't use there real names, need to be careful making accusations about "sportsman" who have earned that title. Congrats guys on your big win.
