The girls name who caught it was Lettie Robertson, it was caught in the Westwego canal outside of New Orleans... It was on the books for a long time... I think the issue is that they did not seperate the 2 species ( black ) and ( White) at the time for record keeping purposes.... So I guess they invalidated one of the best catches ever???

The deal with the 6 pounder is nobody can verify if its a white or black. It's still listed as a Louisiana record. Just no chance for a world record
