Catching fish on a Ultra Light. It don't get any better! I love using my ultra (micro-light really) light set up to fish with...I was trying to catch some crappie one time at the base of the Lewisville dam and I hooked into a 26" hybrid...6# test line...that was fun! I'll try to find the pic and post it when I get to work... I have a Fenwick HMG, 5'6" UL rod with a BPS extreme UL reel with 4# and 6# test line...my FAVOURITE setup to fish with... I had 2# test braid on it, but that proved to be more trouble than it was worth... Tight lines...
Fly tier (yeah, I can fly fish...but the fish don't like frothy water!)

Thanks "Gitter","Dr. Crappie", and "HTC" for the replies. "Gitter": You got that right "Creek fishing at it's best". "Dr. Crappie": Nothing beats the feeling of a nice Sunfish at the end of an Ultra Light. A Crappie thump would also be hard to beat. "HTC": Fresh Bluegill or Crappie at dinner time. It just don't get any better!

Still looking for that first Creek Rio of the year. I have gotten em off the Comal River and Lake Dunlap but not on the creeks. This latest cold snap is going to put em in hiding for a little longer. Side Note: Did not get much rain at all this last go around.

The Rio run will start very soon. Baring any major cold fronts I would say the creek Rios should be on the move by early May. I would also say the same for the lakes. After these last two fronts the Rios have flat disappeared on the Comal and the river lakes.
