I just got into crappie jigging last year. Been using mostly plastics, Bobby Garland, curly tails, I like the BP bumble bees. I just wanted to get a few opinions on what some other crappie anglers favorite jigs are. Got a few from slab me silly, I love his jig heads, in fact need some more. Heard alot of people say haired jigs are better than plastic, especially when it's cold. Been thinking of getting some thump buddies and jigum jigs, but already have more plastics than I will use in this lifetime.

Until you have some white hot Thump Buddies, your collection is just not complete (in my opinion). That has usually been my rule of thumb....hand tied/feathers in the cold winter months, plastics any other time. Of course, that is just what works for me and everyone's experiences will be different. Welcome to the jigging addiction!

Thump Buddies, Jigum Jigs, Voodoo Jigs, CustomCrappiejigs.com., TNT jigs, You can't go wrong with any of them. I haven't tried Slab me silly's yet, but I've browsed his website and think his jigs look amazing too. Supporting the TFF'rs on here that make and sell jigs is the best way to go. They all make outstanding products that really produce the fish. If you don't have any Slab Bandits make sure you get some of those too.
