Both! Depends on the situation I'm fishing.

Interesting. Can you give us a general rule of thumb?

I like lizards too! Seems to get a lot more bites for me and still gets the big bites too.

I use a lizard texas and c-rigged, mostly in the spring and around spawning flats. The jig I pitch to stumps and fish creek channel bends leading into spawning flats.

I use both to bed fish, along with quite a few other baits.

Fouz, do you have a go to jig trailer, or does it vary based on the circumstances?

depends on confidence level. if I can get bit on a t-rig lizard than so be it.. otherwise, I stick with the ol faithful jig.

Thanks for the responses. I've been fishing a jig a lot lately but remembered that I used to get an aggressive bite from a lizard. Maybe I'll just have them both ready!

Not really. I choose my trailers based more on color and fall rate I want for the jig. I use a Rage Craw quite a bit. Grandebass 4" MegaClaw, too. Also chigger craws, LFT Hyperfreaks and Hyper worms. I even use Pack's original jig trailers, often. The Pig Claw. I have a pretty good stockpile of those. Finally, when the water is cold, say 55 or less, I use pork exclusively.
