Ray Bob has been on fire lately! And when I say on fire, I mean on FIRE. A good friend of mine and Dannie Golden wrecked them yesterday and that has been the norm lately. Dannie's had 3 fish over 11 in the last 11 days and they had 39# for their best 5 yesterday...just sucks I wasn't out there as I had planned to be yesterday. It's also not been bad from the bank as my cousin and his 11 year old caught them out there yesterday as well. Here are a few pics. I sure hope this holds up for Champs in 3 weeks.

Are there any places to put a small Jon Boat in around there, I don't want to go on the main lake, just mess around in some of the shallower water with a small boat.

Yes, there are some places you can walk in towards the back of Isle Du Bois, the state park and up in some of the North creeks. Just look on Google Earth and they are easy to spot.

Thanks, I was looking around on google Earth. The boat is on a trailer and too heavy for us to load/unload by hand, but not big enough to go on the main ramps and head out on the big part of the lake. We where at Fork visiting family this weekend and it was so low it was nearly impossible to get it in the water from the bank.

Then go to the State Park down by the dam and unload on the ramp and go around the corner to the left. There is a ton of stuff to fish back in that area and you won't have to get on the main lake.

Im new to TX and only fished RR twice and I love it. Just a pretty lake to fish. I havent caugt anything to brag about but got a few fish. I am planning to head out with Danny and get some pointers on the lake.

I would but I will be out on Fork fishing the Mega Bass but will be on Ray Bob the next 2 weekends.

Best place is Buck creek. Take hwy 377 north of Pilot Point and the ramp is on the left just before you cross the lake. Lots of great spawning coves up there that are accessible with a smaller boat.
