Will the Elite 7 work with the US2 built in transducer on my fortrex? Is it compatible? The US2 transducer on any trolling motor only covers sonar not side or down image.

is the 598 ci si the same screen size as the 788c? Yes the 598ci HD SI combo has the same size screen as the 798ci HD SI combo.

in my personal opinion the 798 is too small of a screen for si.
My buddy bought a boat with one installed and took it out one time before he brought it to the house for me to install a larger unit for him.
A 7" screen is the smallest i would go for si.
the hds7 combo after rebate is only 200 over your budget.
I think you would be happier, and this is just my opinion, waiting a little longer and savign up a little more for a bigger screen.
2d/di a 5" screen will sufice, but personally it's to small for si,
you're going to want to split screens for si, and when you start splitting a 5" screen things get small quick...
