Google Maps Coordinates, easy to get to: 33.343507,-97.595429 - Black Creek Reservoir Mercy Me, I gave up a top secret, double knot spy, great buster fishing site...I didn't remember that when there is a good fishing site for small boats, you need to say "TOP SECRET"... well since the cat is out of the hat... there is a boat ramp, and all kinds of cool stuff. It does cost to go to this Double Knot Spy location!!!

Hey Kevin, nice to see ya!! The peeps here do know their stuff when it comes to Buster Boats. They have more experience fishing out of these boats yearly.

Ron, Seems everytime I try to buy any kind of boat, something happens and I am unable to get one. I have seen a few buster type boats lately around Mt. Pleasant and I like them. I tend to lean more to the Preditor type than the bass raider type, but then again, thats just going on looks. I want which ever one is more comfortable and stable to fish out of. Maybe someone on here can give me some opinions. Thanks.

I think both would work, depends on the deal etc. You have come to the correct forum, these guys post lots as far as modifications, and usability.

I have a Bass Hunter like FFM's and Carlos has a Pelican Predator. The Predator seems a little more stable and has more bells and whistles.
However that comes at a price. The thing is a beast to move! Also it gets blown around more in the wind then the lower profile Hunter styles.
Despite being heavier, the pelican is faster on the water than the hunter styles. This is likely do to the hull being "tri hull". Gets the boat up whereas the Hunters just "plow" through the water.
Both are very good. Just trade offs to each.

I have a BPS Pond Prowler which is made by a company called Charloma in Kansas. They are very similar to the Bass Hunter in that they are light, stable, and tough as nails. I am 6'2", 225 and stand in mine to fish all the time. I have never fallen out and never felt like I was either. The wife doesn't feel like she is going to tip us when she needs to do her bidness off of the front either. Haha.
The Pelican Preditor is cool because the seats are on a post instead of a big base. That allows you to rotate the seat without having anything in the way of your legs and feet. They also have a few other bells and whistles that you won't get on the Bass hunter. They are quite a bit heavier though and would be tougher to handle alone. A trailer would fix that.
Either way you go be sure to have a quality trolling motor and a good, fully charged battery AT ALL TIMES. These little boats are not the best in rough water/high wind conditions.

I have a Pelican predator and will offer this advice. The predator is a chore to load with just one person. I can do it but it is not easy. I now have a trailer for it. I do like the room in it and it is a very stable boat. If you fish by yourself alot get the bass hunter boat or a trailer for the Pelican. If you fish with a buddy the Pelican will be the better boat to get.

I have the pelican Bass raider I've came up with all kinds of stuff even more I didn't use Haha. Rod holders ff mount seat brackets leds ect. I have a question how many of you guys run ur td on the trolling motor? Ever thought that the vibration would mess with the frequency reading? I solved that problem for 50 cents. I've never owned or fished out of the one with the livewell but mines pretty darn stable I'm 6 3 230 and my brother's 6 8 250 and we fish out of it alot had one spill but we were headed back to the ramp at marine creek and a storm rolled in and 30 MPH winds did too not fun! Lessons learned whatever u buy just ask were always here to help .

The bass hunter boat is made for fishing not camping.
I have a garage to store my rods.
I don't need a cup holder.
