Dookie:

Can the foot bar be adjusted out of water, or does the 60 row decently with the bar in the water?

Thanks,

Porta

I don't think the 60 has the foot bar like the 75's. I'll have to go home and check again, but I'll post pics.

Here are some pictures of my Hobie Float Cat 60. My collection of Dickeys BBQ cups fit perfectly in the factory drink holder built into the pontoon. I just need to pick up a supply of lids and straws. If you work at Dickey's BBQ Corporate, I am available for sponsorship.

I added a BPS Extreme Finesse Binder to the Float Cat to hold my fishing tackle. I disconnected the frame pipe and ran the lower binder handle under the frame pipe before reattaching it to the pontoon. The binder handle has some thick plastic which will prevent it from slipping back underneath the frame pipe. The bag stays with the Float Cat from garage storage to the SUV to the lake and back.

I have a factory Hobie rod holder but it allowed my ultra-light spinning reel to be dunked into the lake water on occasion. The cheap ultra-light reel hasn't been the same since then so I built a custom rack out of PVC pipe for $6 to keep the reels up higher out of the water. This one works great in my garage. I still need to take it out to Lake Grapevine for some real world testing.

On warm days when I am not wearing a life jacket, I usually strap it over the seat back and use it a cushion.

If you have any modifications on a Hobie Float Cat, please post them up. They quit making these so information will only become more scarce.

Venture makes something similar to Hobie with some quick breakdown advantages in both the 50" and 62".

Not as fast or beautiful, though. But might be a good alternative for those looking for a solid pontoon...
