Very nice yak for the money (half the price of a Cuda12)...I would be interested in hearing and seeing some reviews.

I just saw where the seat rotates 360 degrees!! Now that would be a slick feature.

Hey for those that don't know Dean does a AWESOME job with his demos. thumb thumb I went to one last year and thoroughly enjoyed listing and learning from him. If you get a chance to make it on April 6th I wouldn't pass it up!

Sweet looking kayak with an even sweeter price. They will make the other manufacturers take a hard look. Prices on kayaks keep going up and up.

Got to check this thing out today at the grapevine bass pro. I was really impressed with the layout. Can't wait to see how it paddles and hear some reviews.

I took a look-see today as well and talked with Dean a bit (really nice and knowledgable guy). I have been considering the Slayer, the Cuda, the elevated Ride.......and now adding this to the list if reviews are decent. Of course, after paddling the same yak for over 15 years, it almost feels like I'm cheating looking at something newer and sexier.

The seat is actually 3 position, the rotation is interesting - I could see some situations it could be very advantageous and the hatches seem stronger than I expected. I was a bit surprised that the seat looked a bit "lesser" than what Ascend puts in their SINKS and there are also foam blocks under the floor behind the forward big hatch and in front of the rear big hatch that extend fully across the yak - basically preventing the option of sliding rods under the deck without removing them (prob not a good idea) or making some mods to them. I don't believe they are there as much for flotation as for support of the upper deck - they aren't glued in, just pressure fit. Of course, there are likely workarounds but in a SOT with hatches, it is fairly standard to have room for rod storage without doing any mods. The fit and finish looked nice - they have both colors in stock - the darker camo was too dark IMO. It would be really nice if BPS could arrange test paddles the way Mariner does.....that is an excellent customer service approach.

I'd imagine you could pull the foam out, I know the coosa had some foam shoved down in it and I pulled it out and can't tell any difference. The only issue I could see it having would be maybe since it sits so high, is dealing with wind. But that's something you get used to with a coosa. With all those hatches, I like it. If they had other colors I might be interested in getting one for the wife. Could you shove a sleeping bag and some other camping stuff down in there?

Yes, you still have the full underdeck hull for storage. The rear access hatch in fact is very generous.

Looks like a poor man's Diablo or Slayer, and at that price you can buy two for just about the price of one of the others.

One thing to keep in mind is the old saying, "you get what you pay for" so don't expect the rigidity of the others and probably why the extra foam in the hull, but there is still a market out there for these kayaks.

Just one more cast!
