Don't be threatening, I was just asking a simple question. I figured if someone left lines out long enough to get mossy they were not taking care of their gear. You say you catch and release all the time but with the hot weather your bound to be losing fish?

What is the bickering over? I think the right thing was done. If your jug has moss on it and dead fish grow up and be more responsible.

Moss or no moss bud If I ever saw you touching one of my jugs there would be problems..That is my property and I have the right to protect my property :--) If there were no markings, there isn't any proof that they are your property. Your word against mine kind of thing. If people can drive by and see a clear name and date on the jug then there shouldn't be a problem...hence the date written on the jug.

Nothing wrong with that, but you have to remember majority of people don't do that...You know good and well that if there is moss on the line and the jug looks like [censored] its probably one that got lost or left behind...so to see that, without a gear tag, I might have to pick that sucker up. If somebody has a problem with me about it that's fine...no proof that it's theirs, two can play that game.

That wasnt a Threat..just a simple statement about what happens when someone runs my lines..And no I have not lost a fish yet..(Havent been running them everyday like this for very long lately) But when it heats up I will not run them unless i can check them a few times a day..Im sure I will lose a few fish anyone who does any kind of fishing loses one every now and then..I just hope the one I do lose is when im running them a few times a day and is a toad that I can take post pics of dead on a line on here and just watch all the people get upset..Is what im doing (Checking marked jugs daily) not legal?? Is it legal to cut move or bother someone elses jug??

Before you go cutting, removing or damaging a trotline or jug line, you might check with TP&W. It could result in a charge for thieft of property. Those belong to someone. That straight from TP&W.

What are you getting so defensive about BBS? If you are fishing jugs responsibly I don't see that anything said here applies to you. Not sure why you are defending the irresponsible juggers.
