It's not so much the color. The covet affects their color. Florida strain are more thick than a northern bass and do not get as big. I say that's a Florida strain.

so catching a rather larger and way more thicker bass means it is PROBABLY a florida bass? Falcon doesnt have much of those then, hehe!
it has many long thin bass though!

I believe the only definite way to determine if it is a pure Florida strain is to do a DNA test.
