I had an issue with my garage also, was able to get a 17.5 foot alumacraft with a fold away tongue, I have 6 inches to spare. The fold tongue made all the difference.

I have one I'm getting ready to sell. I have it just to fish the leon with a buddy. We're both over 200lbs. I have a trailer but it will fit in the back of the truck. I can get to some pretty tough launch spots. Caught alot of fish out of it. Trolling motor will push it all day.
