That is what its about, not whining all day because someone is fishing close to you and its their fault that you cant keep a fish on when you get an early bite.

And Combs had words about it with Shyrock on Friday...

If all you watched was what Bass aired on tv, then all you see is Alton being first to the hole and fishing when Dean rolled up and purposly started fishing within 50 feet of Alton. It does not state that Alton even knew where Dean had caught his fish before that day. So how can you decide who was in the wrong, from my point of view Dean was being disrespectful by purposely start on top of Alton, and there is no footage that Alton had been in that area before then either. I agree with (Terry1937 and wet19) without any more info than what Bass aired how can you bas Alton when you clearly see him in the area first. Dean should have stopped next to Alton and asked him if he would yeild that spot if he felt so strongly obout the unwritten rule.

I have been watching these guys for years and have never seen Dean Rojas complain about anyone crowding him. He was in the lead and most pro's would have given him room. I would have done the same thing as he did when he pulled in front of him.....except maybe a little closer.

honestly.. we don't know what all transpired, other than what we saw and how it was edited for TV. I kind of remember seeing on Day 3 Alton's boat in the background in that general area, and also Dean's boat as well. I'm sure pretty they were sharing the water, and Dean thought because he was leading Alton should have relinquished the spot.

.
I'm going to see it MY way, and that's all there is to it!
UNLESS, I don't see it at all. And, this one I did NOT see.

Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

I fish tidal rivers and there are times even with the massiave amounts of water that are fishable there are times they fish very, very small. While we try not to crowd in our each other it does happen in these types of waters. On the flip side having several back-ups is critical if one/several boats on my spots I move to the next spot and keep on going til I find my water.

If all I knew about the situation was what ESPN aired I would not side with Rojas.
To me it looked like Rojas started mouthing to the camera calling Alton names and saying Alton hole jumped him to justify the actions ( pulling up ten yards in front of Alton) he knew he was about to take.

I was really disappointed in the show and how they dealt with it. Didn't interview Alton, get his opinion, etc. Only featured Rojas and it was really one-sided.

Good job by Faircloth, he had a plan and found some good water.

For all of you stating that Rojas lost because he didn't have a back-up plan, the same applies for Alton.

Fact, Alton Jones jumped Dean's water when he was not in contention thus going against the unwritten rules of competition in the Elite series.

Fact, Alton jumped KJ's water on the final day of the 2009 Classic, when he was not in contention, costing Kelly the win.

No one needs a one-sided TV show to know that.

The term "unwritten rule" makes me laugh.

So you expect 100 alpha males to abide by this courtesy rule when there is $100k on the line?
