Guys I understand what your saying about Tm past the guy but I know for sure he was not bed fishing and this entrance is the biggest one of them all and you can not cast from one side to the other which is why he was sitting directly in the middle I guess!!

Drop your TM & ask if he would prefer you to go Left or Right, that lets the other guy know your intent & dropping the TM will show him that you want to be courteous & not screw up his fishing.

Not directed at the poster but hell its not a complete incident till you come on the TFF and rant about it all the while NEVER confronting the person you had the issue with on the water when it was happening..... ...its a lot more street to use a keyboard rather than deal with the bad behavior when it happens. Gotta share the drama with us all.

Best thing to do is not stop and fish in an area where boats are expected to travel then get pissed off about it.

Put it on plane, trim up the motor so you have a 15 foot rooster tail, and wave as you go by

People are idiots on the water now days just like there are idiots that you run into in every day life in this country. The water used to be a place that you could get away from this but that is no longer the case. Most people just need a little attitude adjustment.

Agreed... had this happen at Fork back in 97/98. We had shut down the big motor and was on the TM. I wasn't driving but after the guy put his C/R across the boat I was in, the Captain said, "Okay, that's gonna cost him!" I sat down and hid my face when he trimmed up the motor and gave the guy a shot of water in his face with the prop!

I don't recommend it but your story sure brought back memories. With the 50 yard rule in affect on many tournaments, if you ask and get permission, it opens up the water to EVERYONE!

It seems most everyone who share their knowledge on TFF, most are also willing to share the the public lakes (unless they are on fish). What's so funny is that you caught fish.

On a side note, fish are smart. Their Pea Size brain costs us thousands of dollars every year. Go figure! An old friend once said, "Companies make lures to catch Anglers!"

You were in a cove 20 yards wide and 20 yards deep and had a boat come by on plane? I don't know about you, but there's no way my boat will come off plane and stop in 20 yards. Did this guy end up 25' on the bank?

I know what your saying but trust me we hashed it out with this guy for a min or 2!! I was only saying something on here to see what other guys thought about this issue.
I came from the great lakes and if you were fishing within sight of someone they thought you were too close LOL!!

If this bothers you folks don't bother to fish Lake Austin. People who are fishing are not too bad but the skiers and such are the worst I have ever seen.

If there were 3 entrances why didn't you come in one of the other 2?
