Think I must have seen John out there last weekend...? I was with my dad and Fiance, only there for a bit. She got hungry, ha. Were you the guy with the OU hat...?

I didn't catch all those fish that I took home the other night dead sticking it I was actually catching them on the down fall. I started at 6'6'' my rod length pitch it out and let it fall back to me and bam felt the thump if they didn't hit it I'd swim it around a little then pitch it again. Once I didn't get a bite at 6'6'' for a while I'd them move down to 8'6'' and do the same gig. 7 of the 21 I cleaned were males and 14 were females! I love fishing the barge always have a great time people are usually friendly and people to talk to even if they aren't biting and the fish are usually always there just have to know where to fish! A majority of the fish I caught were hitting it pretty good, but some of them were just lightly tapping it all caught on jigs. If you haven't jigged before some of the bites you wouldn't know were a fish unless you've done it before! I will likely be out there again sometime this weekend! If you see me shout at me! John seems to just catch fish LOL watch him I know how he likes to fish and I think I know the place he likes at the barge. And he is a nice guy to talk to I gave him SH*t and he gave it back good stuff. Also I found if you ask what he is using well he tells you. Funny how that works.

Ha, cool! I'll say howdy next time. I was in the Lynyrd Skynyrd shirt. Love how all those people flocked when that guy caught the hybrid.... Then disappeared after fishing for three seconds!

Ha, took me a second to get that! I work right by there, some good fishing. Caught a nice LMB jigging but no crappie yet...

Thanks for the info Big Mike. Hope you do well next trip. I plan to go with my son next Thursday and I may check it out sooner. It is extremely convenient for me. I used to fish a lot but haven't in a while. I browsed through the posts of you and others for advice on latest techniques and gear. My dad always said, "Wind from the West fish bite the best, wind from the East fish bite the least, wind from the South hit em in the mouth". Can't remember North but know that's bad too.

Update: Last night was some what slow. Some fish got caught but nothing like it has been. Got two pics. The little girl got her 1st hybrid! The guy is name is Mike and got some fish with he's son. In the AM.

Wind'll blow the baitfish and plankton in (and in turn the game fish). I always try to fish with the wind in my face on the bank so an east wind being good on the barge would make sense.

I went last night from 12:45AM to bout 4:30AM caught 12 crappie 5 keepers all given away and on keeper sand bass. Saw people catching them inside as well, but a lot of smaller ones not many big keepers coming out. Regardless I'm headed up there right about now so if you see me shout at me and I'll give you some fish assuming i catch some
