Yeah, that worked pretty well last time except the boat kept swaying. I need them in tandem I think.

I brought it but never used it. The new TM worked like a champ. I didn't have any trouble in the wind this trip unlike a few weeks ago when I had to beach the thing on Bachman. No mas!!!

If you fish it again try to get some pics.
I have never seen the water level that low.

I will for sure there was this one line of stumps that were right at the edge of a creek channel that will hold fish for sure when the water rises again. I know how u map a lake bud and I bet u 20 bucks if u went ud have to redraw ur map. I was looking at some pictures from last spring and it's totally different. There's tovyns of structure on that lake and some crazy bottom contours. Also drove by black creek and it was super low as well. It was to low to launch so I went home after clear lake go check it out there's still a few quality fish in all those lakes

Hey otb have u tried putting the anchor in the middle of the boat on one side that's what I've tried as nd it kinda keeps me sideways. If I position it just right I can face the bank and fish a pretty wide area. Btw I'm getting a eagle fishmark 500c how have u guys mounted yalls? Should I get another battery to run it or could I use the tm battery?

I mounted my fish finder using a ram mount, transducer mounted to the trolling motor. I use the same battery as the trolling motor for power, more than enough juice to tun both and I get a voltage reading on the finder.

I hard mounted my head unit directly to the gunnel with marine grade silicone. The transducer is screwed into the stern and sealed really well with the same silicone. I used zip ties to secure the extra wire and a little more silicone to hold it in place so it isn't hanging all over. I will try to take a pic and post it but it takes so dang long! Long story short, it works really well and looks good too.

I ran mine through 1" ID hose to protect the transducer cable and keep it all out of the way. Both TM's and FF are wired to the same battery. FF is wired through the hull to the battery, and so is front TM through a plug adaptor. Rear TM is wired straight to battery. FF is easily unplugged and removed from boat. As well as both TM's. I mounted the FF to a wood block so it won't fall over but it is still stable. I did it that way so I can move it around to where I choose and I can adjust the settings without leaning down to do it.
Lemme see dem fish tiddies

Looks like I have some tinkering to do. And BTW I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that used wood Lol thought about using PVC I'll see what I can figure out and post some pics

I'm also thinking about putting a hot foot switch on the. Tm. When I'm standing and fishing it's a pain to keep bending over.

I bundled the extra cable with zip ties and it sits in the front under the plug, too far forward to really get in the way. This way i can take to TM and FF off and store in the garage while i leave the boat in the yard. I like the hot foot switch idea, if you get it rigged up let us know how it works.
