Hybrids should be on the lights if water temps are in the 50's. Sandies seem to come in when it gets a bit warmer.

Hybrids year round. Last year with the warmer weather we started in march catching Bout ten good ones In four hours. Once the water gets warmer, mid April it should start to pick up well. Mid may when the shad spawn it is a free for all, especially right before sun up.

In a couple of weeks they should be on fire if you can find any with some depth under them.

I was out 2 weeks ago and it was too early. Water temp was 48. No bites. Will try again tomorrow night.

I've asked several times about night fishing for Hybrids and never got many reply's.
Do you guys fish the same way as in the daytime ??(Drifting shad is what I like to do)

What are the "particulars"??

Find boat docks with bright lights & throw a 1/4 oz roadrunner up under the light & slow roll it back. That's the only way we have been successful at night on CC. Lot's of fun on the right night.

2 Bedroom Lake house on CC for rent. P.M. me!

+1

We use slabs, small flies or crankbaits. It can be fun when they're on.

Hey chpd, I'll be out Sunday night, too. If you see a blue Ranger, say hello.

Thanks, sound easy enough, usually in that kind of area early morning to catch my shad for the day.

Any time of night seem better?

I use jigheads with flukes or small sassy's. Live shad free lined works well also. Artificials are a lot easier though no need to rebait. Spinner will work bit I've found the single hook jihhead are easier to unhook especially in the dark. Also as said earlier, the brighter the light the better.
