Rod and reel. Traded it in at BPS this year during the trade in deal. It couldn't have been down there long because it didn't have any rust on it and worked fine.

Was fishing The Vine with Monte Coon and I can't remember if I caught it or he caught it. Attached to the hook was something the size of a pencil eraser. It was a magnet on one side and a red blinking light on the other. Magnet held on to the hook till we got it in the boat. It's a weird thing to see a red blinking light attached to a Texas rigged worm when you pull it out of the water. Must not have been down there long.
The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

Sounds like the blinker out of a Laser Lure or something.

I caught a pelican once when I was a kid fishing the Sebastian Inlet. I threw a giant Mirro-o-Lure fishing for blue fish and he nailed it. The poor thing freaked out (so did I) and flew ino a pylon and broke it's neck. I also caught a teddy bear on Joe Pool. That was just plain creepy. The strangest thing I ever caught by accident went away after the penicillin shot

I was with my dad when he caught a body on Grapevine last year.... that is something you don't ever want to experience!! The weirdest thing I've caught was a duck in mid flight This wins!

3 ft gator on a rapala. My lure was hung up in the weeds and all I could do was watch him come and get it.

Does playing with my new german shepherd puppy with my echo practice fly rod count? It is the best tug on a line I've had in a while. She was hard to turn on that light rod, and she headed for cover everytime.
