Need some help from the pros. Boga grip maxes out at 15lb, so it was bigger than that. I'm leaning towards channel from the spots in the last pic, but am no expert. The size wants me to say blue though. There such a thing as hybrid blue/channel? Thank you Dfitz

Count the number of rays on the anal fin. Blues normally have more than 30. Channels typically less than 30. Otherwise its hard to tell on some fish. NICE CATCH!

Rounded anal fin and looks like the top jaw goes past the bottom a bit. Spots as well, looks like you got yourself a very large channel. Tale looks to be forked pretty good too.

not very good pics, but Iam saying blue cat. Ive caught a lot of blues with spots like that and more that were definitely blues.

Where did you catch him? Pond, river, or lake? I've noticed different body development in blues in channels in that I've caught in ponds.
Blues where in these ponds from being stocked that grew up in them.
