Keep the lure you caught it with or continue using it because you think it is a lucky lure?
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know when to go fishing.

I put it in the live well and at the end of the day I take pics of all five before I filet them for the fish fry.

Chris he is to busy making money to have time to read. I hope (and expect) that's the case. JRH is darned good folk! Prolly going gray or losing his hair chasing trucks and heavy equipment all over the South Texas Plains.

It's all hypothetical for me at this point.

This has proven to be true on my spooks and Papamarks spinnerbaits. They all don't catch fish but when you find one that does keep using it. They just keep getting better and better with age.

As for memorializing lures, why the heck would you do that?
When you find an artificial lure that can trick a REAL fish into biting, repeatedly, you better guard it with your life. Not all lures that appear identical produce similar results.
Pursuing giant largemouth ranks just behind the quest for enormous whitetails in my world. But barely.
Growing up, I saved the brass from the rifles I made memorable hunts with. I don't know when, probably around 1972 (12), came the realization that those momentos were meaningless to all, but me.
Not worthless, mind you. Which is why I would encourage anyone to continue throwing that "old standby" until the lure no longer produces. Only then should your prized lure become a relic.
Ammo is like an old man. Two or three good pops and he's spent.
Lures are more akin to a fine wine. They get better with age and last for years!
Good fishing, folks.

15. Signature images may not be larger than 600 pixels wide by 125 pixels tall. This includes logos, photos and other graphics. Also, no more than one row of images are allowed. If you want four or five logos in your signature, reduce their size to fit in one row. psalms 91:1-16
