"crate cradle" for my SINK Rod Leashes Kayak Storage Rack (not much doing here, but works great and can just slide yak from rack to the bed of my truck)
This might be the weirdest, most pointless post ever. I am not against golf, since I cannot but suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering fishing

installed a 5 switch control panel on my outback. controlled the live well, 360 light, FF. worked like a champ. it also came with a 12v cigarette plug for night fishing light or a cigarette light.
installed a 30lbs thrust trolling motor on the rudder for my outback. the result was a kayak that can go 5.5 mph for several continuous hours. I would be interested in knowing more about that switch. I'm going to do a diy 360 light, but want the ability to shut it off. That would come in handy. And the trolling motor. Did that give you any trouble in shallow water?

let me know if you're interested in cutting a 4" hole in your kayak and I will help you out installing a switch. or you can just do a simple toggle switch which requires a 1/2" hole. But installing the 360 light will require you to drill a 1" hole. how shallow is shallow? I would not take the trolling motor in areas i know the water is < 2' deep. man, its great for lakes though. fishing tawakoni is simple.

For the light/switch, I want to either mount it on my crate or fit it to one of my back rod holders. Sounds like the crate might be the way to go. That would allow me to mount the switch on the crate, and would hold the dry box/ battery.
I fish a lot of creeks and rivers, so I'm not sure the TM would be a great fit for me right now. Its a cool idea, and one I might look into later.

i can help you with that. the thing you have to figure out is placement of battery and if that battery will power all your electronics like FF, bait tank and maybe night fishing lights. From there, we can rig something up and it should be cake.
I love the grommets that Hobie uses on the PA. They come with parts that can fit different gauge wires or multiple wires. Installed, they look factory and not aftermarket. Using this, you can buy one battery that can power all your electronics and can be controlled via toggle switches.
