I was there wednesday night. The crappie were horrible in the shalllows! They were doing great in 20 -25 ft. of water. BIG crappie too! The sandies were just having a slow night but they were biting though along with a few hybrids! Catfish are also biting on minnows.

I was on the 1st point under the light on the deep end last night from about 11:30 until 2am. I caught 6 or 7 sandies. They were shallow for me... I could see shad "popping" up and I would cast right into the middle of them and get a hit after about 2 seconds... it was fun but didn't last long. I did see them catching some nice hybrids over off of the further point. I still havent caught one myself... I'm ready!!!

Well try it all and ask others about the fishing and what they are doing. When I got there this mooring at 5:00 am a guy was catching sand bass every other cast I asked and he said I am using a white rustier tale spinner. Well I did not have one LOL but the point is ask most will tell you what is working for them.

Well if its a night I think outside hours to think of dark sunset to 5:00 am then inside to 10:00am then go home get some sleep. Try the point deep water then the shallows don't forget that the Hybrids are in close and shallow at night. I have to think that I was starting say at 5 pm I would be running around outside and look for others that are catching fish. Then after about 5:00 am go inside and try the fishing wells with jigs. If you using minnows should be about the same from what I have seen but I don't use minnows. The nice thing about the barge is inside or outside can be good or bad you just need to check on the fishing ASK others.

Update: worked last night they got crappie all night. Best bite inside I saw at night in a long time. Starting to see a lot of big ones caught. Sand bass good last night. I think about 5 hybrids were caught threw out the night. The AM bite is going well. Seeing some big ones. This is Bigcatfishphil and son. With a nice stringer and a 1.92 crappie. ![](http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u416/fatmike1984/5E86E474-82D0-4FF6-B4BA-BD9121E92242-216-000000229FE72082.jpg)
