Last year Ren caught a nice bass at Ray Roberts on a rooster tail. I just can't get them from getting hung up!!
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 4:19

Those rooster tails were the go to lure when I was little. My dad would tie one on for me and I would fish it all day long. Now I'm like Shaun, if I throw one it finds any and everything to get hung up on. Haven't tried one in a while though, maybe Ill pick a few up.

I've fished rivers and lakes for white bass for more years than I can count going all the way back to the early 60's. My go to favorite white bass setup is a Zebco 33 and my box of assorted Roadrunners. I've used all the other lures mentioned and a lot that have not, but the RR is my go to bait hands down.
Just one more cast!

Haha, I found a nice Mepps inline spinner hanging from a tree in Beaver's Bend State park last week. I look forward to trying it out around here.

9. No personal attacks if you disagree with someone, state your case intelligently and back it up with facts. We will not tolerate personal attacks. You will be warned once. If the behavior continues, you will be banned from the forum. DO NOT HARASS PEOPLE WITH EMAIL WHEN YOU HAVE A DISAGREEMENT ON THIS FORUM. If this rule is to be enforced then Mr. BWG is the one that needs to be banned. I pretty sure he sent several hateful/personal attack messages to Lusca on here and also threatened him in the thread itself (he later edited all of his comments of course) How's that for facts?

On my bush survival kits that make and sell every now and then, the roadrunners and rooster tails are a must to have in the fishing kit. I took a friend dove hunting once and he asked if there was any fish in the ponds. He did not believe me at first, but I told him to tie on a road runner and he should know within 5 cast. He laughed and on the 3rd cast produced a nice 4 pound bass. At lunch we stop by Walmart to add a few more rooster tails to his tackle box.

I think I'm up to 17 freshwater species on 1/16oz white road runner. Including my two best double digit Largemouths. They catch fish period!
Razzorduck Better tighten that drag boy, He's gonna spool ya!

How do you catch the bird to use it for bait? LOL
Yeah they have a great track record just like the old H & H spinner baits and the forever young Mepps inline spinner bait. They like Timex, they take a licking and just keep on ticking.

[quote=BrazosWildernessGuide]Yeah thats what im talken about razor . who is this guy? starts 20-30 threads. trashes the regulars on this forum because his format for some tournament he started is ridiculous. He used of the NTKT name with the only difference of tournament instead of trail to promote his tourney. A name many folks on this forum worked hard to promote the sport kayak fishing. He is using the NTKT name so he can collect a 30% payday. Yet some of you are protecting him?
I know some of you are new to this forum or to kayak fishing and think this BWG is awesome for sharing ideas. I can't speak for everyone here, but I will go out of my way to help you when it comes to rigging and fishing. If you go to one of my open invites, i will share my lures and my technique to anyone who is willing to listen. I don't need to start threads about, slabs... they work! I can tell you that all the folks that I have fished with on this forum are great people and aren't shy about sharing ideas and technique.
