Got a question on swim baits. Throwing a soft body with a swivel and without and it never swims correctly. Always spinning or on it side or back. Have swim bait hooks with weight on them. Any help would be appreciated

I would try a larger hook, especially if you are throwing a 5+" swimbait. Try an owner beast 6/0 or 8/0. I've found swimbaits will not track right unless the ballast weight is low... Plus, it never hurts to have a bigger hook with a swimbait!

Couldn't agree more. Also just make sure there is no bend in the swimbait at all.

I use the 6" Basstrix almost exclusively. I throw them either on a Falcon weighted swimbait hook (no more than 1/16 ounce) or an 6/0 Owner Beast swimbait hook of the same weight. Just received several dozen packs of the basstrix from Tackle Warehouse. Green Perch seems to work best for me.

So they swim straight and don't turn and spin?

Just got some lucky strike 6.5" but have to wait a few weeks to try them out. The look good in hand, not sure in water yet .

Well the big bite hooks and money minnow are not working for me so I was wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if I need to switch brands

Make sure you are hooking it dead center in front as well as the back.
