Sad day, US Reels have gone out of business, according to there distributor, the people who purchased it a year ago messed up in some real estate deals and it was closed down. Sad day as they made some of the best reels ever

I doubt real estate was their problem. If you are in sales, your company will not stay around very long if you do not sell something. Fishing reels is one of the most competitive categories around and they just did not sell any product.

not sure what there is to love about them. the ones i used were awful. i've never gone a full day fishing and said to myself, "you know what would really make this a great day? A wave-bar levelwind!"

not once has that ever happened. sorry for my negativity to the fan boys out there. i just think they're terrible.

Im surprised it took this long to go out of business...The reels were junk and Ardents are right there with them..I hate to see ANY company now go out, but when you produce a product that is no where near your competition its no wonder..
