What's the strangest thing you've caught while bass fishing (alive or not)?

I caught a kingfisher bird on a Pop-R, I've caught a couple of rods and reels- one with a fish still on it. I hung a purple marten in mid air with a drop shot, and I caught a pair of sunglasses on a c-rig. What have you caught besides basseses?

Rod and reel a few years ago on Marine Creek. It was rigged for catfish and was my only catch of the day...

Sweet. I still have a Bill Dance Quantum reel / broken Ugly Stick rod that had a 3 lber on it when I hung it at Tawakoni. I caught it on a whacky worm. Snagged the very bottom guide on the rod. The fish was so tired, it didn't even fight back.

I foul hooked a 16.5 lb carp in the dorsal fin at fork a few years ago....what a fight!

Caught several shore birds that flew under my line in mid cast, never hooked just tangled wings....

Hooked a 8ft wide manta ray while casting towards it for ling.

Multiple sea turtles, even had one eat a topwater...

Rod and reel on bastrop.

snagged a turtle in a tournament. we still won the touramnet on somerville with 23.5 lbs but thought that was the kicker.

Snagged a hog with a frog. (Bacon hog, lol)

Gators

I got caught and nearly cranked in scuba diving one time. Hook hung on top of my tank and he was cranking me in. i couldn't reach the line, but my buddy finally cut it for me. that was interesting.

Mallard duck in mid flight on Ray Roberts. New rod and reel on Lewisville.

penn 209 and 8 1/2' surf rod on boerne city lake, never did figure out why that rig was where it was. still use the penn, broke the rod.

7-8' bull shark tarpon fishing in costa rica, hooked it in the dorsal and saw it for about 10 seconds before the line broke (and I was dam glad it did).

The day I caught my SAL I had caught a Ranger Hat that had been in the water awhile, all that was left was the Bill, the ribs of the hat and the Ranger Logo. I put that in a Hat form and now it hangs in my shop and will be put back in the boat for good luck

Beer can last night on Lake Worth, only thing I caught.

Folding aluminum lawn chair with the webbing for seat and back 10 ft of water on a jig. Felt it was mushy,SET THE HOOK fight was on due to its design, I guess it would move sideways when I pulled on it.I won the battle and released it to a dock close by. My wife laughed he arss of when it was all over, guess I did to,

my buddy caught fishing line that had a carolina rig on it with a fish still on it. That same day I caught a spinning combo, can of beans and a flathead catfish. best day I ever had! lol

Night fishing using a big black Zara I had an owl swoop down and grab it. What a mess! But we got it released without harm to it and just a little to us!

Caught a flower pot crappie fishing when I was like 12 inside a fishing dock.
During the Classic when I was with Ott Defoe he was throwing a shad rap and the rod loads up and he starts playing what seems to be a good fish, the spectator boats around us are cheering, he says "this isnt a fish" and reels up about a 5 lb rock. Should have heard how many people still cheered for him catching a rock. Guess thats when you know you are good when catching a rock gets you as many cheers as a keeper bass!
