$39.99 during the rod riot. Are they worth it? The rod feels very light and has good fuji guides that are a bit smaller than standard, which I like as well.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Is the rod riot going on now? Great rods, especially for the price. I have a 7'6" Heavy and plan on getting the 7'10" mag cranker.

They break easy and often!
Never have tried any of the cranking series though

I have an Ethos 7'6" XH and an Ethos 7' H. Today I picked up one of the H2O Micro Ethos with the eva grips and micro guides for $59.99 during Rod Riot. BTW, never had a problem with breaking them.

Only seen one broken in my boat. Dad grabbed the rod about a foot from the tip and the fish flopped...any rod would break. For the money, you would be hard pressed to find a better rod.

I had the composite cranker for trap fishing last year , after about 2 months of use it exploded while fighting a fish ... Then again I've got a buddy who has several of these and he has never had an issue and he beats on em pretty good

I bought one of the micro guide spinning rods and it felt good but when I put the reel on and realized that the reel didn't connect to the blank I took it back. There was almost an inch gap in the reel seat and I just didn't like that and the feel.

Awesome rods for the price. Sure- one may break occasionally, but you see reports on here about that happening to most brands. Unlike the others, they can be replaced immediately at the store! I have 3 of them and have caught up to 6-7 lb largemouths and 8 lb hybrids on them with no problems.

Again, if you catch big fish , you may not like the cost - there are no free lunches

All fishing rods no matter what brand have a 10% defective rate. Any rod can break at any given time. These are great rods for the money.

Had a 7' MH that snapped on hookset- took it back to Academy and was given credit toward a different brand. On the other hand, I have the 7-10 cranking rod and absolutely love it. It has numerous Falcon fish to its credit, including two over 10, two over nine, and a 6' alligator gar that took about 20 minutes to get boat side. I really wanted that 6xd back.

I have broke several but I am giving them another chance. I picked up a micro guide yesterday.
