Yes he did, Matthew came over had a glass of tea and visited (while we ate dinner) with the remainder of the party; myself, John the Babtist, and lil bobby while matt (grease bath) was over at chucks doing paperwork...man, Jigum's head almost didn't make it through the door...what made it better, is knowing grease bath and I were the only people that have any of those jigs! (i.e.., that means Okiebob didn't have any!!!!! Seriously, what really made it better was when matthew headed out the door, he was going to go get started on some of those grease bath jigs so he could meet the anticipated demand, so he wouldn't have to miss that Grenada trip!! If you want to see the jig...grease bath has already posted them about a week ago...I don't recall the post name...but it is there...

Yeah, it is kind of nuts...the kid caught the big fish, but us old guys are still pumped up about his catch...we are proud we were there with him....In fact, the three of us old guys (to a man) are glad he caught it instead of one of us...I mean we were really ragging on the kid, he felt the pressure...and he came through...There is no better pleasure in life...to see a young man stand up and be counted! he showed us he belonged....

Dude, you were the one that fished with a fevered pitch, kept your composure, confidence, AND grace under pressure even when you were catching mucho grief....and you kept thinking of how you were going to come out even (forget ahead) and salvage some of that earlier bravado...at the exact moment that fish hit the deck, it didn't matter to you if it was a record or not...it was the big fish of the day and the relief on your face for saving your dignity...was worth a million dollars to all of us...the lake record was just a bonus...GREAT BONUS...and yes, you have earned a place in our boat, anytime it leaves the dock....way to go kid...

Oh, and just remember the Paul Harvey version (you may want to google Paul Harvey Page 3) is coming soon...I just have to settle down some (from all the excitement) and compose my thoughts...
