I don't think BASS or FLW would be better off if they kept the horsepower at 150. It allows them run further and faster than they could in a small outboard. Now for the common person like me I am content in my small bass tracker with a 30hp

I'm not sure why they have a hp limit at all. If the boats rated for it knock yourself out.

it is about going faster than the guy next to u u might get outfished but u got there faster and had a longer roostertail

I am with you Hop but I am kind of a simple person. I got tired of carppy boats so I ordered a Ranger from the factory in 1985. I still have it. Does not look the same as the day I picked it up but it runs the same or better.
